A09: Motion of Ellipsoid in Fluid Area

ABSTRACT: The article examines the general motion of a homogeneous solid body in a fluid medium. The body is an ellipsoid with three mutually perpendicular planes of geometric and material symmetry. The intersections of these planes with the ellipsoid represent three ellipses of different sizes. The body is assumed to have six degrees of freedom. The rotational component of its motion is accounted for by Cardan angles. The fluid is assumed to be stationary and is defined by its density and invariant scalar pressure and temperature fields. All types of forces and moments with which the fluid medium acts on the body are taken into account. A program was compiled in the MatLab-Simulink environment, with which 28-time functions and 3 projections of the trajectory of the center of mass in the fixed coordinate planes were determined.
